Class 3 – Caterpillars 2015-16

Caterpillars Class Blog 4.3.16

This week it was World Book Day and we all dressed up as WILD THINGS!! We have been reading ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ by Maurice Sendak and wanted to be just like the characters in the story.

(Look in the Gallery to see all of us in our costumes)

Mrs Burt did an assembly and we had to play a game and guess the teacher’s ‘shelfie’. Can you guess which teachers these shelves belong to?

Layla was excited that she was given a £1 token so she can go and buy herself a new book.

Also keeping with our Wild Things theme we have made our mum’s a special card for Mother’s Day because we can all be Wild Things sometimes!!

In maths we have been using a 100 square.

‘We have been counting on from different numbers.’ Maisie

‘Mrs Burt gave us a puzzle and we had to make the 100 square from the pieces.’ Owen

‘We have been using the 100 square to count on in 5s, 2s and 10s.’ Nell

We have all made our own 100 square to take home so we can practice our maths at home too.
