This week we have been thinking about our enquiry question ‘Why do Squirrels Hide their Nuts?’

“They put acorns in a hole because they save them to eat.” Noah S

“They dig in the ground and put the acorns in. They save them for when they need to eat them.” Alex O

“They hibernate all winter and don’t come back ‘til spring.” Alex J

In Maths we have been learning about the numbers 2 and 3.

The Phonics Fairy sent us 3 sounds this week they are: t, p, i.

We also thought about the question ‘why do people wear poppies at this time of year?’

We watched the BBC short animated film ‘Poppies’.

“There was a big battle with lots of fighting but when it stopped the poppies grew in the field.’’ -Alex J

‘’It’s for remembrance.’’ Rose

Some of the children made poppy pictures in different ways.

It is Children in Need today! We learnt that it is a charity and the little yellow bear is called Pudsey!

We have been thinking about the things we like to do that make us feel happy.

“Stroking my rabbits makes me happy.” Percy

“Dancing makes me happy!” Coco

“Playing with Numberblocks.” Zayn
