Owls 2017-18

Owls Class Blog 12.01.18

Our new topic for this term is HOT and COLD.

We have started our topic by looking at animals that live in Africa.

‘Elephants live in Africa.’ Ebony

‘Some animals live in the Savanna.’ Jude

‘We were artists and drew some African animals to go on our hall display.’ Henry

We thought about different types of transport that would take us to hot and cold places.

‘We have made some hot air balloons using party balloons.’ Harry

‘We used papier mache to cover them and then we painted them.’ Chloe

In maths this week we have been learning about money.

‘We don’t always use money when we pay for things. We can use a credit card.’ Tommy

‘We have use coins and added them together.’ Aimee-May

‘We played money bingo. Someone held up a coin and if you had that coin on your board you put a counter on it. If you get all the counters on your board you win.’ Samuel

‘You have to say, ‘BINGO!’ George

In Talk for Writing we have been looking at poems.

‘I liked the, ‘What I love about Winter’ poem.’ Jenson
