Owls 2017-18

Owls Class blog 29.09.17

We have had another busy week in Owls class.

We have used storymaps to retell the story of the 3 Billy Goats Gruff. (Wesley)

We wrote sentences about baddies from fairy stories. (Chloe)

We have been practising to write inbetween our lines. (Aimee-May)

We have been looking at question words and ending a question with a question mark. (Caleb W)

In Maths we have been thinking about different forms of measuring.

We got some giant footprints and used them to measure with. (Lexie)

We used Little Jack foot prints too. (Cherri-Rose)

We have been thinking about things that are heavy and things that are light. (Finley)

We have been measuring things that are taller/shorter and longer/shorter. (Caleb C)

On Tuesday afternoon we had lots of fun feeling the texture of different materials. We felt ice cubes, liquid soap, body scrub, shaving foam, chocolate spread, cocoa powder and added water to it. We got a little bit messy but that was all part of the fun!

We are really enjoying our Friday afternoon cooking sessions. This week we made gingerbread men and also designed a gingerbread man invitation for our families to invite them to our PTFA coffee afternoon in aid of MacMillan next Friday, 13th October, 1.30-3.30pm. It will be great to see you there.
