Owls 2017-18

Owls Class Blog 15.09.17

What an amazing start we have had to the year. The children have settled into Owls class very comfortably and are already demonstrating many characteristics from our ‘tree of good learning’.

Our new topic this term is, ‘Tell Me a Story’ and we have begun by thinking about different Fairytales.

On Monday we found some unusual objects in school and we became detectives trying to discover where they came from.

Emma liked finding some bells. She thinks they might belong to the 3 Billy Goats Gruff.

Henry found some plants he thinks the goats have been chewing on.

William thought it was interesting that we found a recipe for Goat stew and that it might belong to the TROLL!

Samuel thought the clues were all about the Billy Goats.

In the classroom we have been thinking of other Fairytales and have started to relate our areas to them.

Eshal has enjoyed writing in the Fairy Godmother’s special writing area.

Cherri-Rose has enjoyed colouring in different Fairytale characters.

Jessica painted Rapunzel because she is her favourite fairytale character. Jessica was also picked out of the Reading Raffle this week and chose a book about Rapunzel.

We are all looking forward to our visit to ‘The Walks’ on Monday. Let’s hope the weather is on our side! Don’t forget to come back to our blog next week to see some photographs.

Parents we look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday morning at our Meet the Teacher meeting.
