picture1This week we have at last started our Christmas Countdown and have begun to
get a little bit excited.

Our Christmas performance this year will be a South Wootton
picture1version of The Nutcracker, a story about a little girl called Clara who is given a Nutcracker doll by her Uncle at Christmas time. One night her doll comes to life and turns into a Prince. Clara and the Prince then travel to The Kingdom of the Sweets on an adventure.

Ruby really enjoyed listening to the story of The Nutcracker and is looking forward to singing and dancing.

We have also decorated a tree in our classroom.(Jayden) and we have started an advent calendar. (Pixie)

The advent calendar gives us riddles that we have to answer. (Isobel)

On Thursday the Year 3s from the Junior School came round and we made Gingerbread Men crafts with them. (Elsie)

I liked making marshmallow flowers. (Ellie-Mai)

In Mrs Angell’s class we made Nutcracker soldiers. (Harry C)

In Mrs Angell’s class we also made some fairies using lollipop sticks and paper cases. (Olivia)

As well as thinking about Christmas we have carried on learning about Toys.

We looked at toys from all over the world. (Lenny)

We looked at Worry Dolls from South America. (Abigail)
