Class 1 – Dragonflies 2015-16

Dragonflies’ Class Blog Week ending 29/4/16

Wow! What a speedy week! It has gone so so fast! We have absolutely loved this week and have been so busy learning so many different things and challenging ourselves!

On Monday we listened to the story of The Slug with the Silly Shell. It was absolutely hilarious and… you won’t believe it… but he had a donut as a shell!
The story was so funny that it has inspired lots of us to tell, act out, and write stories this week which our now displayed in our reading area for others to enjoy too. Codey, Lenny, Halle, and Abigail have particularly loved being authors!

Lexi went on silver this week for her amazing maths work. She explored lots of different ways to make ten using the numicon and recorded her findings too- WOW!

Albie also went on silver for challenging himself. He found different ways to make ten, twenty, and extended his learning even further to find a way to make fifty!

We have also been perfecting our dance moves this week by sharing ideas and practicing to our favourite songs. We love the Disney CDs and the class playlist that we created together too!

Thomas has been going on lots of minibeast hunts this week, and was able to record his findings too.

Joshua made Miss Riddington a Leicester football flag (as there is now a huge possibility that they might win the league- WOOHOO!)

Alfie knows lots of different types of minibeast, and by working together we have managed to find out lots of facts about minibeasts too!

It has been so much fun this week and we can’t wait for another 🙂
