Class 1 – Dragonflies 2015-16

Dragonflies’ Class Blog 8/1/16

We have had an amazing first week back. We spent our first day doing astronaut training where we did lots of different activities to get us ready for flying to space. We tried astronaut food, made rockets, did space physical training, and so much more! It was the best day ever.

After our space day we were all so excited about our new topic.

Alfie, Elsie, and Abigail loved counting  “10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1…BLAST OFF!” When their rocket launched into space.

We have also been asking questions about space so that Miss Riddington knows what sorts of things we hope to find out during the topic.

“Do aliens fly?” Isobel asked.

“How did the moon get in the sky?” Chloe wondered.

“Why do stars not come out in the morning?” Lenny said.

“How does the rocket get back down to earth?” Jack asked.

We can’t wait to learn all sorts of things to do with space.

Jayden and Rhyley even chose to make space rockets during choosing time. “We were kind and did them for each other” he said. “Then we played with them”.
Miss Riddington has been so proud of how kind and helpful we all are. She is also impressed with how polite we are too. What a lovely start to the new term.
