Class 3 – Caterpillars 2015-16

Caterpillars Blog 20.11.15

This week we have been looking at traditional tales and most of our learning has been centred around ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’. In English we thought about what the different characters would say (especially when they realised the Emperor was naked!!) As a group we sequenced the story and retold it while Mrs Burt and Mrs Chaplin videoed us.

In Maths we have been thinking about money. We can recognise coins to the value of £2 and have been counting up the different amounts of money the Emperor had in his purses.

We also received a letter from the Emperor’s wife asking us to design her husband some new clothes for their round the world trip they are about to go on because she is quite embarrassed by his lack of clothing! We designed him an outfit for a hot country and one for a cold country.
