Class 5 – Ladybirds 2015-16

Ladybirds Class 9.10.15

In maths this week we have been using arrays to help us with our multiplication.  We have used cubes and drawn our arrays.  We have also used repeated addition as a strategy.

In English we read our Noah’s Ark books, that we wrote ourselves, to the children in Reception.  We have also written  some Harvest poems and described an Autumn picture using nouns, adjectives and similies.

In science we did an experiment using black and white paper. We felt the papers and then put them out in the sun to see if the sun made them hot. Can you guess what happened?  We also looked at different objects in water to see if they changed shape.  We found that straws looked as if they had broken!

The Student Council have had their first meeting and are hoping that some of the money that has been raised can be used for wood chips in areas around the school and for some artificial grass.

We are all very busy practising for our Harvest Festival at the moment.
