Class 3 – Caterpillars 2015-16

Caterpillars Class Blog 11.9.15

On Monday we went outside and found lots of pieces of coloured fabric. Luke suggested we could make a Rainbow with them. So we did!

This is now the name of our topic. RAINBOW

image001We have been reading the book, ‘Red Rockets and Rainbow Jelly’ by Sue Heap and Nick Sharratt, and have been writing our own sentences about coloured objects we like.

Arabella wrote, ‘ Arabella likes the blue sky.’

Luke wrote, ‘Luke likes brown chocolate hob nobs.’

Millie wrote, ‘Millie likes red strawberries, white snow and grey kangaroos.’

Owen wrote, ‘Owen likes red, diamond rattle snakes and the green giant pacific octopus.’

We have also been painting objects in our favourite colours, making rainbow paper chains and drawing rainbows on paper plates to decorate our classroom.

In Maths we have been counting carefully by moving objects from one side to another, or by pointing to each object with our fingers.
