Class 3 – Caterpillars 2014-15

Caterpillars Weekly Blog 27.2.15

When we got back to school on Monday something strange had happened!!

“There were footprints that Mr Philpott found.” (Lola)

“There had been visitors.” (Kara)

“Miss Davenport showed us all the different footprints in assembly.” (Lennon)

“We played at being detectives and had to write down who we thought the visitors had been.” (Srivatsa)

After much detective work we have discovered it was the Three Billy Goat’s Gruff who had been into our cloakroom!!

Later, we made some bridges using different equipment and had to think about making them strong. Jayden noticed that many bridges in real life are made with strong shapes like triangles and squares.

In maths we have been looking at 2D and 3D shapes and we have been finding them in the classroom. Lilly found out that a cylinder could roll, slide and stack.

We have had some children on GOLD this week for their outstanding Home Learning last half term.

Well done to Abi, Florence, Will, Oliver N and Lola.

Don’t forget to look at our new topic map for ‘Once Upon a Time’ this half term and our new Home Learning Activities too.
