Class 4 – Crickets 2014-15

Crickets Class Weekly Blog wc. 2.2.15

We all took part in the ‘Blubber Experiment’! Did you know that some animals in the Arctic have a layer of blubber to help keep them warm? We couldn’t feel the cold icy water when our hands were inside the blubber glove, but we could if we weren’t wearing the blubber glove.

In Literacy this week we have been learning about acrostic poems. We have all written our own acrostic poems about ‘Winter’ and they are entering a competition. We hope Crickets class have a winner!

In Numeracy we have been learning how to partition numbers into tens and units. Some of us have even used hundreds, tens and units.

In our outdoor learning time we have been finding out about rhyming words. We went on a rhyming words hunt!

Thank-you for all the milk bottles. We have finished our igloo so will not need any more milk bottles.
