Class 1 – Dragonflies 2014-15

Dragonflies Class Blog 16.01.15

This week we have been birdwatching in the outside areas. We made a bird hide in the forest area and had to be quiet.

We talked about feeding the birds. We made jelly worms and also dug worms out of the garden area.

In maths we have been learning about shapes. “I found a cylinder” said Harry. “A cylinder has 3 faces,” said Laney.

“I learnt how to weave with Mrs Diamond. I had to weave over and under,” said Macy.

“I have been reading books about polar bears,” said Albie.

Well done everyone who has brought in some home learning this week. It is now displayed on our celebration board. We are really excited to see what comes in next week.

Next week we will be learning:

  • To retell a story and act it out
  • To use musical instruments to add sound effects
  • To count in 2s to 20 and beyond
  • To investigate snow
  • To make models of ski figures and a snowy mountain
