Bumblebees Class Blog Week Beginning 26th January 2015
This week we have been learning all about penguins. We wrote a penguin fact eg Penguins eat fish and squid. Penguins do not have teeth, just sharp edges in their mouths to stop the fish slipping out!
We made penguins out of card and paper. Outside we made sledges out of waffle bricks.
Our book of the week was “Lost and Found” a story about a penguin and a little boy.
In Maths we have been learning how to count back in ones.
On Thursday afternoon we had a wonderful surprise, because it snowed and we all played outside in it.
Next week we are travelling to the arctic.
Our learning objectives will be
- To learn about the Arctic and how it is different to where we live
- To find out about the people who live at the Arctic
- To write letters to an Inuit about South Wootton
- To combine 2 numbers and find the total
- To share our learning with our family at the reading café
Don’t forget – Reception reading cafés – Wednesday 4th February @ 9.15am
