Class 4 – Crickets 2014-15

Crickets Weekly Blog 21st Nov 2014

In our Topic we have been learning about the Great Fire of London which started in a bakery. Also this week we have been on a visit to the Tesco bakery in Gaywood, to see how bread is made. We made our own bread and took it home.

In Maths we have been measuring liquids and comparing amounts. We made play bread by measuring the ingredients in cups.

In Science we have been seeing how shadows are made. We have also made our own shadow puppets.

We have also been learning about Hannukah, which is a Jewish festival of light. We made our own dreidels and played the dreidel game.

We have set the Year One children a challenge this week.

As we have been talking about Samuel Pepys, and the diary he wrote about the Great Fire of London, we have challenged the children to write their own diary about their activities this weekend.

How many of you will rise to this challenge?
